Since I devised www.theworldcupingermany.com
for the 2006 World Cup, technology has moved on apace and interactive maps are
now all the rage!
Thanks to Google, I've been able to join in with this trend and integrate
interactive maps into this site for each of the 8 venues (as per the snippet of
the Vienna map shown below).
Euro 2008 points of interest and satellite views
I've also been able to customise these and add markers of interest to fans
planning a trip to Austria and Switzerland next summer. These include the
locations of the grounds, railway station airports and so on, plus a number of
hotels and even a few bars! Like all Google maps you can view them as a
street map or in satellite format - or a hybrid mix of the two.
